We were asked by Greater Manchester Integrated Care Partnership to create a campaign designed to increase patient participation in Greater Manchester’s “Keep Active Breathe Better” Pulmonary Rehabilitation (PR) programme. Our multi-channel approach, “For the Moments that Matter,” aimed to address this challenge head-on by educating GPs and reaching out directly to patients, to raise awareness, address anxieties, and boost self-efficacy. Additionally, the campaign focused on increasing accessibility by engaging with real people from local communities and lower socio-economic areas.
With COPD being a national health priority, our efforts resonated deeply. By highlighting the programme’s potential to improve patients’ ability to manage daily activities, reduce hospital admissions, and ultimately, enjoy a better quality of life, the campaign aimed to bridge the gap between patients and the life-changing benefits of Pulmonary Rehabilitation.
