Active Travel England
Happier, healthier, greener
Active Travel England (ATE) is an executive agency of the UK government, sponsored by the Department for Transport, dedicated to increasing the number of journeys being walked, wheeled or cycled, making active travel part of everyday life.
They do this by being a statutory consultee on all large planning applications in England, by advising and planning active travel-friendly infrastructure, by providing funding to support active travel schemes and providing tools and resources to promote active travel for the future.
We have been supporting ATE by producing a range of literature, graphics and documentation and photoshoots since our partnership began earlier in 2024.
Accessibility
As ATE is a government executive agency, accessibility is an extremely important factor in the production of all the work we do for them and was high up on their criteria in choosing an agency to support them.
At C21, we are experienced in producing online content to WCAG ‘AA’ standard and have many years’ print production knowledge to make sure ATE’s communications are accessible to all.
